Self Portrait in the era of COVID-19. In this time of uncertainty you’ve got to stay busy—and in an era of perfect photography, perfect tack sharp images, nice pretty broad lighting, retouched to perfection, have worn on me. I’ve been leaning towards imperfect and spontaneous image capture. Almost akin to analog photography, in the sense that you never REALLY know what you’re going to get. Do lots of work in camera, get a little free and not so constrained. Go for tone and mood as opposed to completely obvious subject matter, less prosaic. Etc. Anyway, sort of a start to test imagery for a future project I like how it’s so fractured and disjointed and sort of lost, much like society right now. Was going for a sense of unease in the imagery.
